The multiplier event in Lithuania was organized face-to-face on the 12th of December at Medardas Čobotas University of the Third Age in Vilnius. It was attended by 29 participants who were educators working in the fields of healthcare and adult education, as well as their students attending classes and courses in the fields of general health and psychology. Most of the students (adult learners) came from the Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle (as well as the Faculty of Psychology) of Medardas Čobotas University of the Third Age, as well as from other organizations like The Critical, research and design agency, and Vilnius College of Design.
In the event, participants learnt that AI is applied not only in innovations, such as improving computers, audio and video recording, but also in the field of healthcare and wellness, where such tools are being used more and more often. Different AI tools that could be used in the health care sector include, for example, Lithuanian startup Ligence, Embrace 2 watch, Google Dermassist, Kardia – a small, at-home device used to detect cardiac arrhythmias, chat assistant replacing the initial doctor’s consultation, Nuvilab – a food analysis tool that can be used for improving the nutrition of children, patients, nursing people, athletes and others.
